Meet Assistive Technology expert Paul Doyle.

Paul has been engaged in the field of Assistive Technology for over 20 years and has been a valuable member of Bush & Company’s Expert Witness Team for two years.

Assistive technology promotes greater independence by enabling people to perform tasks that they were formerly unable to accomplish, or had great difficulty accomplishing, by providing enhancements to, or changing methods of interacting with, the technology needed to accomplish such tasks.

Paul undertakes assessments of the following client groups and produces reports for the Court:

• Paediatric clients with congenital and acquired disabilities including cerebral palsy and profound multiple learning disabilities (PMLD);

Following a personalised assessment in the Claimant’s home Paul will provide a detailed report with recommendations for the provision of assistive technology. This may include environmental controls for everyday living such as doors, curtains, lighting and the telephone. It may also include environmental controls linked to their home entertainment system(s). The report will also cover areas such as computer access, access to education, wheelchair controls and communication aids
