Helen has experience in a number of disciplines including cardiac, intensive care, mechanical ventilation, gynaecology, elective orthopaedics, ENT, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. As an experienced theatre sister she supported the team who set up the first De Vinci Robot to be used in a District General Hospital, in order to perform robotic assisted, minimal invasive pelvic surgery.
Helen is also an approved DWP (PIP) Disability Assessor, undertaking functional assessments of adults with a wide range of complex physical and mental health conditions which impact on their daily living and mobility activities, in order to provide advice to the Department for Work and Pensions on their eligibility for Personal Independence Payments. Evidence gathered at assessment is cross reference with supporting documentary medical evidence, which is critically analysed in order to produce a detailed report for the DWP.
