Michelle qualified as an Occupational Therapist from the University of Coventry in 2005, commencing an Occupational Therapy rotation, working in mental health, acute medicine and orthopaedics. During this rotation Michelle developed her assessment and clinical reasoning skills. This enabled Michelle to provide occupation focused assessments and intervention leading to maximising the independence and safety of individuals in their own homes or agreed discharge destination. Michelle worked on establishing and improving the person’s current level of abilities to increase their independence and to ensure that the person receives the appropriate support and or aids required for discharge out of hospital.Download CV
Anita Laidlaw is a qualified Occupational Therapist with 30 years’ experience. Anita is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists (BAOT). Anita is also a member of the College of Occupational Therapy special interest groups for Independent Practice and Children, Young People and Families.
Anita has undertaken assessments and reports for educational tribunals. She has also had experience in undertaking OT assessments and subsequently preparing reports for solicitors following accidents with respect to complex rehabilitation needs and for employers following accidents at work. During her career Anita has been a proactive member of regional and national OT committees. She has written articles for journals, taught on courses and presented at regional and national conferences. In addition to her independent work Anita also undertakes case management work.Download CV
