Bush & Company are delighted that two of their Case Managers picked up awards at the Case Management Society UK Celebration Event on Friday 17th November 2017.

The award ceremony, hosted by double Olympic Gold Medallist James Cracknell OBE, took place in London; where Case Managers and professionals from the industry met to celebrate the eight individuals that were finalists for the three awards; Catastrophic, Clinical and Vocational Case Manager of the Year.

Representing Bush & Company; Scott Hodder, Rachel Wilson, Sarah Cooke and Kayur Kotecha were finalists across all three awards, with Kayur and Rachel winning their categories.

Rachel Wilson won the Catastrophic Case Manager of the Year Award. Rachel is a physiotherapist with over 20 years’ experience working in a variety of clinical settings. Rachel specialises in acquired brain injury, orthopaedic and spinal cord injuries and has an in-depth understanding of the physical, behavioural, emotional and social impact these types of injuries can cause a client. Rachel has extensive experience of supporting both the client and their family through these difficult times.

When speaking to Rachel following the collection of her award, she said “It was a privilege to be shortlisted alongside so many accomplished case managers in the field. To win the award has been completely overwhelming and I am delighted to receive such recognition for the work that I do. Being a case manager is a hugely challenging role, however, I feel honoured to have the opportunity to work with an inspiring group of clients who motivate me to the best job I can do. I will continue to strive to achieve the best outcomes for my clients and this award has instilled me with the belief that I can do so.”

Kayur Kotecha collected the award for Clinical Case Manager of the Year. Kayur has been a physiotherapist since 2009 and has worked for a number of high profile companies including BMW, The Football Association, British Athletics and Leicester City Football Club. Kayur specialises in the case management of individuals who have experienced life changing injuries following significant poly-trauma.  Kayur said, “Supporting others, in particular those who have become socially excluded following serious injury, is an attribute that is second nature to me. Together, let’s keep championing good practice standards in this wonderful profession of ours! Thank you to all those who have contributed towards making me the case manager that I am today.”

Sarah Cooke and Scott Hodder must also be highly commended for their work and for their finalist positions.
