Corporate Social Responsibility

Giving something back

Giving something back is important to our employees, leaders and the many case managers and expert witnesses we work with across the UK. That ‘something’ comes in many forms including fundraising, volunteering, charity events and partnerships with charities close to our heart.

A natural quality of everyone at Bush & Co is that we care; we care about what we do and how we do it but how we can give more and use our skills and experience to make a difference.

Our Corporate Charity Partner

Since 2018 Para Dance UK has been our corporate charity partner.

Forming a partnership with Para Dance makes absolute sense to us. Not only does it give us an opportunity to fundraise and help spread the word about the great work of Para Dance, the ethos of the charity (Everyone Can Dance) aligns to the way we work with our clients and how we encourage them to achieve their goals, regain independence and have hope for the future.

Our involvement has included fundraising at our 2018 gala dinner, sponsorship of their National Championship, where 50 athletes competed and showcased their inspiring talents and achievements, employee volunteering and smaller fundraising activities resulting over £5,000 in funds during the year.

In 2019 we will continue this partnership with investment for the charity to purchase four dance wheelchairs for their members to train and compete with, hosting our 2019 gala dinner and even more employee volunteering.

The Child Brain Injury Trust

Our support of the Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT) was cemented further in 2018 when we formed a charitable partnership to work together supporting children, young people and their families following Acquired Brain Injury.

This partnership resulted in forming a joint venture specialist service to provide case management to those who are involved in the personal injury or clinical negligence litigation process but the service does much more that provide case management.

For every referral to the service, Bush & Co make a charitable investment into CBIT for the length of the case management provision, which goes to support those children and families who are outside of the litigation process and need help and support from the charity’s support services.

Training and continuous learning is also common thread throughout the joint venture with CBIT.

The Spinal Injuries Association

Bush & Co has held a long standing connection to the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) and we were delighted to join forces with them officially in 2018 by forming our second joint venture partnership to further support adults with a Spinal Cord Injury to rebuild their lives following a catastrophic injury.

The specialist service provides a charitable investment into the support services of the SIA for every case management instruction made to SIA Case Management which is reinvested into the vital support services of the charity.

As well as providing much needed funding, the joint venture we have formed ensures that we can share best practice across the legal and case management sector through training and continuous learning and we host regular training in partnership with the charity.
