Claire qualified in 2003 in Occupational Therapy with a BSc (Hons) from Brunel University, London. She has worked as an Occupational Therapist for the NHS and private practice. Claire began her career in a hand therapy, splinting and orthopaedics which then led to her specialising in complex disabilities. The majority of Claire’s clinical experience has been with children and adults with complex needs.
Claire’s caseloads have included children and adults with upper limb difficulties, cerebral palsy, autistic spectrum disorders, developmental coordination disorder and attention deficit disorder.
Since completing her sensory integration training, Claire has been working for her own limited company. This role involves assessing and treating children with autism, cerebral palsy and developmental coordination disorder using assessments such as the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (SIPT), with a view to improving function through the treatment of sensory deficits.Download CV
