Sue Williams

Sue qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1980 and worked for 16 years in NHS general medical wards. In addition to this she also worked in private clinical settings caring for people undergoing surgical procedures. As well as her robust experience in all general medical and surgical topics Sue has significant experience of spinal cord injury. She has worked as a case manager as well as being an expert witness.

In 2017, Sue acted in the capacity as volunteer nurse for the Back-Up Trust’s ‘Skills for Independence’ course and has accompanied groups of spinal cord injured individuals on holidays. Sue’s role is to provide practical assistance with care to the course participants.

Sue is a keen supporter of the Spinal Injuries Association and wrote ‘Ageing with SCI’ for the 2008 edition of Moving Forward. Sue has previously been invited to talk at their educational workshops on bowel and bladder management as well as managing pain and fatigue.
