Helen Jane Sansome

Helen is a Registered General Nurse with 25 years post registration experience in Clinical Practice, having qualified from the Nottingham School of Nursing (now Nottingham University) in 1992.

Helen spent six months in industry in 2006, before returning to clinical practice in the NHS, working as a Clinical Education Specialist, for B. Braun Medical. Her role involved providing product training and support for Sales Specialists and customers, with specific emphasis on safety cannula, intravenous fluids, regional anaesthesia, parenteral nutrition and infusion devices. During her time in this role, she was instrumental in the introduction of safety cannula across the south east and London. She ran trials and evaluations of these products and wrote an intravenous cannulation training package, which was delivered to some 1200 members of Medical and Nursing Staff in a large central London NHS Trust.

Helen has a special interest in chronic pain; cosmetic surgery; hands and upper limb injury; obstetrics and gynaecology; orthopaedics; pressure sore; tissue viability; theatre nursing and wound care and can complete liability reports in these areas.
