Cathy Preston

By Bush & Company

Cathy graduated from Birmingham University in 1997 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, and spent the first eight years post-graduate as a Physiotherapist in the NHS working across a broad spectrum of In and Out-patient Departments. Specialising early in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, Cathy spent a significant amount of time working within orthopaedics, hands and plastics, burns, rheumatology and hydrotherapy, specialising further in 2002 in adult musculoskeletal and orthopaedic lower limb disorders.

Having worked within the NHS, community and private sector, specialising for the majority of the time in musculoskeletal conditions, Cathy’s knowledge and skills in this field and her expertise in managing and mentoring other Physiotherapists both within the NHS and the private sector, enable her to practise as an Expert Witness in cases involving orthopaedic quantum, physiotherapy clinical negligence and liability. Cathy underwent specialist training through Bond Solon to acquire her Civil Expert Witness Certificate in conjunction with Cardiff University (CUBS).
