Patsy qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1987 and worked for approximately six months on a Coronary Care Unit in Rochdale. In 1989, she further qualified as a Registered Midwife, and worked initially as a Rotational Midwife but then worked for 18 months on a Neonatal Care Unit at the Royal Oldham Hospital.
Since 2013, Patsy has gained some experience in the legal profession working on medical chronologies and the management of medical records in both obstetric/neonatal and general cases of alleged medical negligence. Since 2014 Patsy has reviewed at least 30 cerebral palsy cases and over 60 obstetric cases and have provided professional advice on breach of duty and causation.
Patricia is an Advanced Midwife Practitioner with a special interest in all birth injury cases; cerebral palsy; child developmental delay; wrongful life; erb’s palsy; trauma/fractured limbs at birth; stillbirth; perineal trauma; psychological birth trauma; gynaecological cases; orthopaedic cases; delayed diagnosis cases.Download CV
