Helen Jackson,
Managing Director

Helen joined Bush & Co as managing director in 2016 at a time when the business was embarking on significant change and transformation.

Since that time Helen has led the business into exciting times of growth and sustainability and has developed the business through a robust strategy, developing people and building long lasting, mutually beneficial relationships. She has expanded our network of associate case managers and associate expert witnesses, formed charitable partnerships resulting in new, specialist services and has developed new offerings to meet the needs of those we work with.

Helen is a gregarious, passionate leader with positive ethos at the heart of everything she does. She is solution focused and works hard to ensure the Bush & Co brand, the people within it and the people it supports are the best they can be.

Prior to joining Bush & Co, Helen held senior leadership positions in the personal injury, healthcare and retail sectors.

Outside of work, Helen places importance on family, health and wellbeing and laughter!

Richard Rickwood,
Director of Operations

Richard joined Bush & Co as operations director in June 2020 and has overall responsibility for the internal operations teams and our case management and expert witness services. He also leads the change management programmes across the organisation.

Richard has a background in financial services, predominantly insurance, before moving into the legal and claims sector. He has been an non-executive director in the education sector and is currently a Board trustee of The Royal Life Saving Society UK.

Adam Fletcher,
Client Director

Adam joined Bush & Co in 2019 with responsibility for developing and maintaining the established, rich relationships we have with instructing parties across the legal and insurance sector.

He joined us from Rebmark where he was National Sales Manager and was instrumental in the growth of piCalculator, supporting the legal sector.

Adam brings great energy and enthusiasm to our business and complements the passion for helping others that is the make up of our leadership team. He’s a familiar face at our conference and exhibitions and well known across the sector.

Adam is a big sports fan and has played field hockey at I a high level since the age of 12. He has completed 2 charity tours with Hockey for Heroes which is very close to his heart. He’s a big family man, with three boys, and has a number of party tricks he’s proud of!

Fiona Kenny,
Head of Case Management and Rehabilitation

Fiona joined Bush & Co in 2015, having worked previously in a leadership role within the Rehabilitation team at a global insurer.

Within Bush & Co she is responsible for the leadership of our Clinical Operations Managers who look after our large and ever growing network of associate and employed case managers, and sits as the Caldicott Guardian and lead clinician within our Governance Board; ensuring we work to the best interests of our clients.

She is also instrumental in the development of our service offering and how we support clients following catastrophic injury; delivering comprehensive and proactive rehabilitation and case management programmes to clients of all ages.

Fiona is a registered nurse, with over 30 years’ clinical experience. She has extensive experience in acute medical settings and the management of chronic disease and associated complications; expanding her skills into primary care and nurse education before moving into case management.

Her clinical career has been spent at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge; University Hospitals of Northamptonshire NHS and primary care networks.

In her spare time, Fiona enjoys spending time with her family and friends, is an avid theatre goer, is always planning the next trip away.

Amey Haywood,
Head of Business Operations

Amey joined Bush & Co in 2016, having previously worked in the healthcare sector as head of Community Services and Registered Manager for the UK’s largest mental health charity and prior to that the automotive industry.

At Bush & Co, Amey is responsible for the leadership of our business operations including quality assurance, reports production, enquiries and instructions; ensuring a best in class service is delivered. During her time with Bush & Co, Amey has been instrumental in our work on Class Actions, providing guidance, organisation and consultancy to key customers on large scale cases as well as growth across our expert witness services.

Her working style is responsive and organised, providing dedicated support for both defendant and claimant solicitors.

Outside of work Amey is a busy mum of two and enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as long walks with her dog.

Jo Wilkins,
Head of Care Support Services

Jo joined Bush & Co in 2020 as the Head of Care Support Services. She has 22 years’ experience working in the neurological sector developing and managing inpatient rehabilitation services across Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and Bedfordshire.

Jo is responsible for managing and developing Bush and Co’s care provision and is passionate about the role that good quality, consistent care can play in maximising client outcomes.

She is Registered Manager for Bush & Co’s Care Provision, working closely with CQC on compliance.

Sally Bayliss,
Clinical Service Lead: Rehabilitation and Case Management

Sally joined Bush & Co in September 2018 having previously worked as an operations manager within the NHS. She brings a wealth of experience having worked in healthcare and social care for over 30 years including clinical and non-clinical leadership and management experience, knowledge and skills. Sally is a community learning disability nurse, her clinical background includes learning disability, mental health and supporting people with behaviour that can be difficult to manage and she is specialist in working with children and adults with complex needs.

At Bush & Co, Sally has overall responsibility for the clinical operations managers. She also oversees our behaviour specialists and is clinical lead for safeguarding.

She is dynamic, motivated, innovative and organised, with a passion for developing and delivering high quality, effective and efficient services to ensure quality and robust clinical support for people with complex needs, (including trauma, brain injuries, physical needs, learning disability and mental health), to meet their holistic needs and maximise their potential.

In her spare time, Sally is the Captain of a ladies darts team, enjoys playing/spectating in a variety of sport, volunteer support worker, supporting at/in charity events and organising family activities.

Head of Medico-Legal: Development

Helen joined Bush & Co in 2015. She is a registered general nurse and BSc (Hons) specialist practitioner (Public Health) with experience in Primary, Secondary and Tertiary care spanning over 30 years.

Helen is responsible for the development and enhancement of the expert witness service; providing support, guidance and training to strategic partners, customers and associates.

Helen values quality and relationships; she pays attention to detail, offers a collegiate approach and understands the elements of the medico-legal process.

In her spare time, Helen enjoys spending time with her family, She is a keen horse rider and she likes to spend time working on her smallholding looking after her menagerie.

Cathy Preston,
Head of Medico Legal: Expert Witness Service

Cathy joined Bush & Co in 2015 and is accountable for the Expert Witness Service delivery and leadership of the associate expert witnesses. She is responsible for the recruitment, training and development of the Bush & Co experts and ensuring that expert reports which are provided to customers meet the highest of quality standards within the medico legal industry. She plays a key role in the expert witness service development and is responsible for the recruitment, training and development of the Bush & Co experts; ensuring that their reports and the service provided to customers meets the highest quality standards within the medico legal industry.

By background, Cathy is a Chartered and State Registered physiotherapist with over 25 years’ experience in clinical practice. She has worked in senior roles within the NHS and as a clinical director of a large physiotherapy company in the private sector. She is an experienced and highly-regarded expert witness, having prepared both liability and quantum reports for Claimant and Defendant firms for many years at Bush & Co. After being awarded the Bond Solon Civil Expert Witness Certificate in 2016, Cathy has completed a Diploma in Legal and Forensic Medicine (DLM) and a Master’s in Medical Law and Ethics (LLM) at Cardiff University.

Carly Johns,
Head of Marketing and Engagement

Carly joined Bush & Co in 2018 having working in marketing communications for over 20 years in sectors including finance, healthcare and manufacturing.

At Bush & Co, Carly has overall responsibility for marketing and engagement of our services and our story. She leads on marketing campaigns, social media, digital marketing and our award winning, well known ‘Happy Post. Carly is also responsible for associate and staff engagement, helping to ensure two-way communications, trust and communication make Bush & Co a great place to work.

In her spare time, Carly is a busy mum to Archie and loves batch cooking with her trusty air fryer and slow cooker!
