An expert witness is someone who has a level of specialist knowledge or skill which means they are considered qualified to give their opinion on facts of a legal case either in a report or in form of verbal evidence in court.
An expert witness can come from one of many professions. What will they be like?
All our expert witnesses are great communicators so you can be reassured that they will put you at ease. Many have worked with us for over 10 years and so they are familiar with assessing clients in their home and the questions people have.
The expert witness is accountable to the judge within the Courts and so they have a defined job to do when assessing you in order to prepare their report. It may seem like they have lots of questions but these are important so that they understand the impact of your injury.
They are extremely knowledgeable and thorough too and this helps them to be objective in their work.
How do I know they are right for me?
Your expert witness will have been chosen because of their understanding of your injury. This comes from their experience in their profession as well as an expert witness.
You may find that you need to speak to more than one expert witness for different reasons. At Bush & Co each one has at least 7 years’ experience in their profession and many still work privately and within public sector services so that they remain up-to-date with skills and standards.
Our experts are all objective in their opinion and work on facts. As a Bush & Co expert witness, they will only have access to the files and information they need to assess what they have been asked.
