Case clinics give different perspective, support & clinical expertise
Working with people following catastrophic injury is not a typical 9-5 role. It’s a role that requires a special type of person; someone who cares, sees the whole picture, challenges when it’s right and helps people find their way.
It also requires clinical expertise and support. With a network of over 100 case managers across the UK and dedicated operational leadership by clinical professionals, we’re proud of the perspective we bring to cases and the support we provide.
At Bush & Co, our operations managers run case review meetings on a regular basis with their case managers to look at outcomes and client progression. To complement this we also host monthly case clinics which provide a ‘fresh pair of eyes’ and different perspective on a particular challenge for a specific client.
Jayne Andrews, case manager and registered general nurse with over 30 years’ experience find the clinics really beneficial.
"I would recommend the case clinics to all. No matter what experience we have, discussion and support in this format is an essential part of good clinical and professional development. The process of talking through a situation stimulates debate and a solution focused approach to case management. “
Samantha Hadley, Operations Manager and Registered Nurse Mental Health, who hosted a recent clinic along with operations manager Barry Lehane, said of the sessions:
“As an operational team we all have different qualifications and vastly different backgrounds. The clinics allow us to provide clinical questioning on specific cases when a case manager feels they need a different view point. Ultimately it’s about the client remaining central to the discussion and us helping the case manager to navigate new ways, fresh approaches and different perspectives.
“As a team, we have a combined experience of over 165 years and can bring knowledge and support to our vast network of case managers across the UK. This only adds to the quality of service we provide at Bush & Co.”
