On Friday 21st May, Best Companies hosted their annual ceremony to recognise the best companies to work for and we're delighted to confirm our places on the three lists we feature in for 2021; our first year of entering. Having already been awarded a 2 star accreditation for 'outstanding engagement' by Best Companies, here's how we did...

Working in the Health & Social Care sector means a great deal to us and we're delighted to be listed in position 8 out of the 20 companies recognised. Fiona Kenny, Head of Case Management and Rehabilitation said  "Client care is of great importance to every employee at Bush & Co, they are at the heart of our decisions and all our staff play a role in making this happen."

Our second listing of the day saw us listed in position 52 out of 100 companies based in the Midlands. Whilst our reach is nationwide, our heritage and our 'base' is within Northamptonshire and the community we exist in, is important to us. We were up against some strong employers in the region and delighted to be placed on the list.

Finally, at the end of the date we were also over the moon to be positioned at No. 43 in the Top 100 best small companies to work for, again alongside some amazing businesses. Helen Jackson, Managing Director, said "I am really proud of the team and how we all work together. We've always been passionate about our clients but we're really passionate about how we look after each other too. In a challenging year for everyone, this is an even greater achievement."

These awards are based on the opinions of our staff and we were please to see that 91% of our people believe the organisation is run on strong values and principles, 89% of people are happy with the balance between home and work (despite the current challenges we all face as a result of the pandemic) and 91% of our people believe the organisation has a strong social conscience.

All of this in a year where we were also awarded Investors in People Gold Standard!
