Uniting Voices, Strengthening Practice: Inside Our Regional Meetings

November 26, 2025

Our Associate and Employed case managers are a team of exceptional clinicians from across the UK. Whilst on the road visiting clients, working both flexibly and remotely are aspects of the job, at Bush & Co we know how important it is to still work collaboratively and maintain face-to-face connection.

With this in mind, last week we were delighted to host two Case Manager Regional Meetings in both London and Manchester. They were hugely successful events full of CPD, networking and meaningful conversation. Being able to sit down and share lived experiences and best practices, all whilst meeting experts in clinical and legal fields, was really an invaluable experience for those in attendance.

Both days followed a similar format, for London, Moore Barlow kindly hosted us in their vibrant Richmond Office space and our employed and associate case managers were also joined by members of our Clinical Operations Team, Stuart Berry and Nigel Lishmund.

Following this for our Manchester Meeting Slater and Gordon Lawyers generously hosted us in their dynamic Manchester City Centre Office space. Here the Case Managers were joined by Clinical Operations Team Members Sally Bayliss and Claire Hall.

Each day began with a Clinical Operations update from the head office team in attendance. This was an opportunity for open discussion about both new and existing services that our case management team offer, such as our Vocational service and our Bush & Co Kids service. Case Managers attending were able to share safeguarding recommendations, best practice and tried and tested approaches with each other and the Clinical Operations team.

For the Clinical Operations team it was also a chance to hear feedback about our child-centered documentation recently launched and learn how effectively this is being used in practice. This includes our Ursa Joins The Team book, Bush & Co Kids Case Manager Tool-kits and new INA Templates, to name a few. It was also great to hear from case managers about their experience of working collaboratively with care managers from our Bush & Co Care Solutions services; achieving positive outcomes for clients who choose direct employment for their care within the home.

It was then time for out networking lunch where we were joined by solicitors from the firms. Lunch was shortly followed by the first sessions of the afternoon which focused on legal CPD. For the London Event this was given by Legal Director Daryl Robinson. Daryl delivered an extremely insightful, collaborative session including case studies of clients who had suffered catastrophic injury that the case managers in attendance found very engaging.

For Manchester’s legal CPD presentation, attendees were fortunate to hear from Principal Lawyer Richard Crabtree who presented a thought-provoking serious injury case study. Manchester’s Head of Medical Negligence Ben Gent delivered an insightful presentation on Clinical Negligence, as well as Lucy Bloom, Court of Protection Principal Lawyer, whose informative presentation focused on Court of Protection and Deputyships.

Our final session for both days was delivered by Cyber Spider Jeff Goodright , who gave an impactful and educational presentation on the company’s work with case managers to help safeguard vulnerable client’s when using the internet and phone.

These two regional events truly highlighted what makes our Case Management community so special: the power of connecting minds, people and experience. Bringing colleagues together from across the UK created space for shared learning, meaningful dialogue and a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities our clients face. Whether through clinical discussions, legal insight, lived experience or thoughtful collaboration, every moment reinforced the value of working collectively rather than in isolation. As we continue to support individuals and families following life-changing injury, it is these connections—between professionals, between disciplines and between human experiences—that strengthen our practice and enhance the outcomes we deliver. We’re excited to build on this momentum and create even more opportunities to learn, grow and connect in the year ahead.
