Why choose a Bush & Co Expert Witness
We have a full and robust Quality Assurance (QA) framework in place and we believe we are the only service to carry out report checking and assurance from both a clinical and legal perspective. This ensures reports are consistent and of the highest quality whilst adhering to legal protocol and without influencing report content.
We operate a ‘Chinese Walls’ system across our service which enables the expert witness to remain professional and objective and removes any conflict of interest within the case. No expert witness has access to details of the other side of the case.
This extends to head office staff who cannot proof read or QA check an opposing side of the case because of the processes in place and our systems.
Our UK wide network includes:
Physiotherapists | nurses – general, learning disability, mental health, dermatology and bariatric and cosmetic surgery | midwives and sonographers | health visitor | social worker | psychologist | occupational therapists | dietitians | speech & language therapists | assistive technology experts | vocational experts | architects and accommodation experts
These experts have an average of 23 years’ experience in their clinical profession which brings a wealth of knowledge and objective opinion to a case.
We place great importance on Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and regularly provide training to our expert witnesses on topics such as report writing and court attendance which is led by clinicians, solicitors, barristers and communication experts.
Over 75% of our expert witnesses already NHS Resolution approved through previous cases.
We pride ourselves on our relationships across the medico-legal sector with both claimant and defendant parties. These relationships ensure we can:
• openly discuss and agree favourable and flexible commercial terms
• respond efficiently to needs
• discuss our network of experts in relation to need prior to instruction
We are often instructed to provide assessment and reports on ‘class action’ cases due to our ability to provide a large number of expert witnesses to cover complex and time sensitive needs.
When instructing our services, you can expect us to respond in a timely manner and work to the time frames of the legal process.
Working with us you will receive professional, open and timely communications with both our head office staff and our experts, giving you peace of mind.
The expert’s work on this case was excellent. Unlike many other expert witnesses, her reports are prepared with an objectivity which gives me confidence that her evidence will be accepted in Court and provides a solid base on which to evaluate a claim.Defendant Solicitor, 2018
